Scuba Diving Equipment Tanks Swimming Flippers

Back in 1865 Auguste Denayrouze and Benoit Rouquayrol both French inventors, were responsible for inventing the original (scuba) self-contained underwater breathing apparatus, but the aqualung came along later and was developed by Frenchmen Jacques Cousteau and Emil Gagnon the two pioneers who received most of the credit for inventing the modern scuba system. These pioneers Emil Gagnon and Jacques Cousteau developed what is now called the Aqua Lung, which was first used with success back in 1943. It allowed underwater divers to breathe without a large cumbersome diving suit.
Today we can enjoy a large range of underwater equipment now available for our own recreation diving because of the inventions of those early pioneers.
